What do you wish you could do, change, challenge with the benefit of hindsight?
Lookin’ on back when you were you were young…what would you do, change, challenge?
A nod to Tom Keifer and the 80’s band Cinderella with this one. This pic is a visual of the opening lyric from Bad Seamstress Blues.
What would I do, change, challenge now if lookin’ on back when I was young? These things:
Parenting: I made many mistakes with my children when they were in their formative years while I was trying to figure out who I was as a Dad.
Tolerance: I was too formed in my beliefs and quick to cut people out of my life when they committed transgressions against me.
Husband: I took my wife and her wonderfulness for granted…not intentionally…but I know now that I did.
Career: I had blind faith in one organization for decades. That organization absolutely served me well, but I realize now I should’ve pursued opportunities presented to me.
Leader: Like parenting, I failed early as a leader. Didn’t have my style and needed good mentors to guide me.
